UX & Visual Design Instructor

An 8-week UX & Visual Design Fundamentals Course teaching how to Build a Digital Product

Role: Instructor & Course Producer

In Buenos Aires, I partnered up with one of the largest co-working spaces in the city, La Maquinita, to teach a course on UX & Visual Design. I was also responsible for producing the 8-week-long course where me and two teaching assistants, Federico Jose Diaz Sparta & Veronica Litmanovich, together taught the fundamentals of designing and building a digital product to 10 students. This course was exclusive to La Maquinita members.

The curriculum was designed for professionals who were either working in different parts of the digital product life cycle such as product management, marketing, and software development, or our students were professional designers who were working on non-digital products. Our goal was to help students learn the tools and fundamentals of designing and building a digital product and provide them hands-on experience delivering the final compositions needed before production.

We’ve also partnered up with Sketch team to provide all students a 50% discount on Sketch app licenses. Some students were using the app for the first time, so this really made them smile. 😎

The course was designed to tackle all the fundamental tasks of putting together a digital product.

The final output of the students were impressive. Some created their own brands for their projects, others applied their learnings to their existing clients. Below, you can see a mixture of the produced material by students who attended the course.

Camila worked on a rebranding project for one of her existing clients, Kekukis Patisserie in Buenos Aires. The logo she designed during our course was immediately loved by her client, and adapted. It’s such a pleasure seeing the work of our students being admired by others.

The new logo goes really well with the delicious sweets, right? 🍩😋

It was a marathon of teaching & learning and having fun in Buenos Aires. I’m definitely going back one day. 🇦🇷
